You may have noticed that it’s been months since my last blog update, making you wonder if I fell into a deep, dark depression after returning to the real world in June.  Ahhh, the post-travel blues!

Well, I won’t pretend that the blues didn’t set in for a day or two upon returning home.  But, my hiatus from writing can be explained by an entirely different reason.

Along with the expected mementos I brought home from Greece and Italy (a cool silver ring and pashmina from Greece, limoncello from Italy, etc), we also discovered an even more exciting “trinket” made it’s way back – a memento from Italy that we won’t soon forget…we’re pregnant!  Our new little travel companion is due February 15, 2013.

Most of you have known this for a while now, but I felt the need to officially announce it on my blog as this brings a whole new meaning to our future family adventures.  Since travel is on hold till after baby arrives, I plan to keep family and friends updated on my pregnancy through this blog for now.

But, do not fear, I’m already thinking of all the fun travel destinations our future family of three can discover together!  More to come…
