Since I last blogged, A LOT has happened…starting with the loss of my precious Mimi.
After 94 years, my grandmother passed away in peace after living a long and vivid life. She was an amazing woman – ahead of her time in many respects – and truly the matriarch of our family. It was difficult to say goodbye, but she will not be forgotten. Her legacy will continue with my daughter, as I plan to share stories about her great-grandmother so she knows exactly where she comes from. 🙂
Couple this with my husband’s unplanned hospital stay over Christmas (he is much better now) and my first battle with a cold, and it’s easy to understand why the holidays were a bit of a blur for me this year.
But time keeps marching on, and I’ve hit the 34-week mark – that’s 8 1/2 months pregnant for those not well-versed in pregnancy lingo. Only six weeks left till we meet our little girl!
There’s still much to do in preparation for our little bundle, like perfecting the nursery, figuring out and installing the car seat, and getting Baxter primed and ready for his new little sis. Although I’m sure I’ll never feel completely ready, I do feel supported by my wonderful family and friends. With their help (and positive thoughts), I know we will do our best as new parents.
I still owe pics from our 4D ultrasound back in December, so look for that and pics of the nursery coming soon! In the meantime, here’s a 32-week bump pic for your viewing pleasure. 🙂
