Our sweet baby girl continues to grow and change by leaps and bounds! At her 9 month appointment she weighed in at 18.3 lbs and over 27 inches.
El has perfected her crawl and is pretty darn fast! She’s also loves to pull up on every piece of furniture she can, and we’ve even caught her standing for a few seconds on her own. I don’t think it will be long before she takes her first steps.
Our teeth count is up to seven – with five fully in and three more cutting through her gums now. There have been some fussy nights because she’s so uncomfortable. We just try to do our best to distract her from the pain, and we’re amazed at how well she handles it all. Teething is rough!
Elizabeth continues to be a great eater and has expanded her diet to lots of wholesome vegetables and fruits. She still loves avocado and sweet potato, but also really enjoys pear, berries, mango, carrots, broccoli and banana. We’ve also introduced yogurt, cheese, beans, and several types of meat. She’s really good-natured about food and will try almost anything. El can also use her sippy cup now and has started to self-feed. She loves practicing her pincer grip on Cheerios!
Two other big milestones – Elizabeth can wave hello/goodbye (although she doesn’t always do it on demand), and clap her hands. So exciting and the whole family just loves to watch her do both over and over. HA! 🙂
We’re looking forward to the holiday season. Celebrating Elizabeth’s first Thanksgiving was so much fun, and I know Christmas will be wonderful. We’re looking forward to being with all four grandparents on Christmas – what a treat!
Here are a few shots from our latest swinging adventure – she really loves the park and is starting to fit better in the swing now that she’s a little bigger.
I couldn’t resist these shots of Ms. Lizzie in her overalls!
