So I think I jinxed the weather for Elizabeth’s 1st birthday party when I chose a “You are my sunshine” theme. February 8th was an overcast, grey day – and at 2 pm , right on cue, it started sprinkling. As they say – we make plans, and God laughs! 🙂
Luckily, we reserved a pavilion at the park for the party, so Elizabeth and all our guests were able to stay dry. And, although the weather didn’t cooperate, we brought our own sunshine – with lots of great friends and family there to share in the celebration. Here are some highlights from the festivities…
The Decorations:

The Food:
Here’s the spread – we opted for wraps and popcorn chicken as the main dishes.My sunshine cupcakes – they came out really cute. Thanks to the aunties for their help in decorating!
These were the hit of the party – fruit kebabs in colors of the rainbow. My mom slaved over these – and it was worth it!We had to have hummus – one of Elizabeth’s fave foods.
