This post is long overdue, but I didn’t want to skip all our Easter fun this year!  We had several friends over, along with my parents, to celebrate the holiday and enjoy good food. 

Lizzie dazzled in her Easter dress and had a blast searching for Easter eggs with her friend Joey.  We ‘practiced’ finding eggs throughout the week, so by the time Easter rolled around she was a pro.  However, she was much more interested in opening the eggs for her treat, rather than finding the next egg.  We’ll have to work on her speed for next year…HA! 

Easter was also a time for reflection for me as I thought back to where we were just a year ago at this same time.  Last Easter, Lizzie was only a few months old and I was still in the throes of having a newborn, sleepless nights and just healing overall.  I definitely didn’t feel like myself yet, and was still adjusting to motherhood.  I think I’m still adjusting to motherhood in many ways, as it seems each week there’s a new challenge – but now I feel much more confident in my abilities.  I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful hubby, supportive family and amazing friends.  You are all appreciated more than you know!
