2014 has been a banner year for spending time with my Bubby (AKA Anna!)  So far, we’ve visited three times this year – and I’ve loved every minute of it.  Our latest rendezvous took place in Tampa – and that meant a visit to the beach at Fort De Soto in St. Pete.. 

Our last beach experience with Lizzie was September 2013 at Folly Beach (outside of Charleston) and she much preferred the pool.  Well this time there was no pool option, but it didn’t matter because she took to the water and waves like a fish!  JR and I held her hands and she walked right into the ocean with us.  So cool!  She also liked playing in the sand – and stealing a few of Riley’s toys while she wasn’t looking (what parent doesn’t bring at least a pail and shovel with them to the beach – ME!) 

It was so much fun to watch Lizzie and Riley experience the beach together – and wonderful to have some time to hang out and relax with our dear friends!  We look forward to many more beach trips in the future.  🙂
