I’ll never forget when I was just six weeks postpartum with Lizzie and someone asking me if I was going to have another child. (Ummm, sure – we’ll get right on that!) When the memory of labor is still so fresh, it’s hard to imagine that you’d ever choose to go through that again. And, having a newborn at home is no walk in the park. In those early days, JR and I definitely questioned our previous thoughts of having more than one child.

There’s no doubt – parenthood is hard. Being a mom is by far the toughest challenge I’ve experienced. But – and I know you’ve heard this before, and that’s because it’s true – it’s also the most rewarding journey I’ve ever been on. I don’t get it right every day, but the days I do are truly amazing. One little “I love you” from Lizzie and I’m a goner. I’m so glad she chose JR and me to be her parents.

So, knowing full well what we’re getting ourselves into – the highs and the lows – JR and I are excited to share that baby #2 will joining our brood in April 2016. To answer that person who asked me back in 2013, “Yes, we’ve decided to have another one!” Are you happy now? 😉
