Charlotte Anne is 2 months old and growing like a weed!  We went to her 2 month appointment yesterday and got her stats.  She’s 23 inches long and just over 12 lbs.  That puts her in the 70th percentile for weight and 80th percentile for height. Her pediatrician called her “juicy” yesterday, which cracked us up!  She’s a big girl, but still seems so small next to Lizzie.

Over the last month Charlotte has really “woken up.”  She’s so alert and engaged with the world around her.  She likes to be held facing out so she can check out all the scenery.  She loves looking at faces and is mesmerized when you start talking to her or singing.  She smiles a lot and coos.  It’s the best!

In other news, Baxter finally came home after an almost two-month hiatus.  My parents graciously “adopted” Bax for the short-term while we sorted out life with two kiddos.  It’s great to have him back and he’s busy keeping tabs on all four of us.  He’s especially on top of all things baby, and follows me around the house while I tend to Charlotte.  If she cries, he gives me a look, as if to say, “Handle it, Mom!”

It feels good to have our little family all together, and we’re trying to enjoy each moment with both girls.  It’s a new challenge – two kiddos – but we’re up to the task and doing our best to make memories each day!
