I had some technical difficulties getting this post finalized a few weeks ago…so here it is (a little late!)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were so thankful to have a pretty big gathering of family this year, including my sister and Ryan, Carol and Rick, and Ryan’s parents Karen and Steve. I’ve included some of our photo highlights below so you can check out all of our Thanksgiving festivities.
And, can you believe Christmas is almost here? Lizzie is beyond excited this year. She’s got a running list in her head of toys she’s requesting from Santa. Top of the list is an Ariel doll and a bike. When asked what Charlotte might want for Christmas, she said “new socks.” She knows her sister so well! 😉
Speaking of her sweet sister, Charlotte is 7 months old now! Not only can she sit up with no problems, she can also get to a sitting position from laying down. It’s pretty cool to watch her do this. She’s roly poly these days and is rarely sitting still for long. I have a feeling crawling will be happening very soon.
Charlotte continues to eat like a champ. We’re still serving her two meals a day, but will probably go to three very soon. She really enjoys eating and opens her mouth up like a baby bird when she sees a spoon full of food coming her way. Her favorites so far are avocado, apples, sweet potato, and oatmeal with cinnamon.
Along with solids, I’m still breastfeeding and it’s going great. This is when breastfeeding really pays off – it’s like second nature for both of us now. Charlotte nurses about six times a day, and I usually do a dream feed before I go to bed to tide her over till morning. The arrangement works well for us, and I love the breastfeeding relationship we’ve developed. There’s nothing better than seeing her milky smiles and stroking her little head while she feeds.
The next few weeks will be busy, but we’re all looking forward to spending more time with family and just relaxing over the holidays. I hope you all will be enjoying your time this holiday season too. Merry Christmas!
