Miss Charlotte Anne is 9 months old now and life is pretty exciting! She’s perfected her crawl over the past month and can get around pretty quickly. She loves being able to move on her own. There are so many undiscovered nooks and crannies in our house from her perspective.
Charlotte’s also continuing to pull up on everything. Her fave spots are the coffee table and couch – perfect for grabbing whatever she can get her hands on, including remotes, tissues, cups and bowls, pillows, blankets, etc. No serious cruising yet, but I’m sure that will be next.
After Christmas I finally got on top of the baby proofing! With both kids moving around, I’ve also grown eyes on the back of my head. 😉 Seriously, I have a feeling that Lizzie and Charlotte are gonna make a mischievous pair in the future, especially when Charlotte starts walking!
In addition to Char’s bottom two teeth, we’ve had one top front tooth make an appearance, with the other one on its way soon. When we visited the pediatrician at 9 months, she proclaimed that her gums looked “beefy” – meaning many of her teeth looked ready to pop through the gums. I just love Dr. Kathleen’s word choice!
Our juicy girl continues to be a “live to eat” kinda kid! She’s eating three meals a day now with a couple snacks mixed in. She rarely turns down any food we put in front of her. Most nights she eats whatever JR and I have for dinner. I’m also continuing to breastfeed about 4 times a day which I think is making a big difference when she gets sick. Those antibodies are an amazing thing!
You might be wondering if the “sleeping through the night” trend has continued…and the answer is yes! Both girls have been sleeping well most nights. Char is great about going to bed too – most nights she’s ready for bed between 7 – 7:30 pm. If it wasn’t for getting sick here and there, we’d all be fabulously rested. One can hope, right?!
