I wanted to share this adorable baby announcement created by my boss. He wrote this “press release” announcing Elizabeth’s arrival and sent to staff to let them know the news – too cute!

Florida Communications team welcomes newest member: 7.6-pound Elizabeth Leigh Stawarz
TAMPA, Fla. (February 12, 2013) — The American Cancer Society Florida Division is excited to announce the newest member of its communications team: Elizabeth Leigh Stawarz. Stretching 19.5 inches and weighing in at 7.6 pounds, Elizabeth is expected to begin work after a short stint in the maternity ward and about 22 years of mentorship and guidance under her mother, Erin Stawarz, communications manager for the Florida Division. Elizabeth’s father, JR Stawarz, is expected to provide additional outside counsel leading up to her employment.
“I want to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays,” Elizabeth is assumed to have said when she moved her lips with great animation but no sound.
Elizabeth is expected to one day handle new media and other emerging communications strategies. Healthy, happy and cute as a button, Elizabeth has already proven to be a proactive member of the team who is adept at managing complex tasks on deadline. She entered the world on February 8, a full week ahead of deadline. She is a woman of few words, but she has quickly built strong relationships and appears to be a keen observer who excels at situational analyses.
Erin Stawarz could not be pulled away from Elizabeth long enough to comment. She simply cooed, cuddled, and kissed Elizabeth, ignoring all questions and pretty much everything else in the world.
Erin Stawarz will return to work in mid-May. She handles general communications, media relations, internal communications and social media when she is not on maternity leave. Until she returns, the other members of Florida Division Corporate Communications team will pick up her responsibilities. Inquiries and requests for assistance can be directed to another member of the Florida Corporate Communications team or by email to the FL COM email group.
