The colorful world of solids

Orange, green, yellow, white – oh the astonishing array of solid foods! (Question – why do they say “starting solids” when it’s clearly really starting purees?)

We entered the world of solids last week and Elizabeth couldn’t have been more ready. Sweet potatoes were our first choice and she was a fan. But the next selection – avocado – has been her favorite so far. She looooooves avocado. We followed up with green beans to a less than enthusiastic reception. Two out of three ain’t bad, right? 😉

Bananas are on the docket for this weekend and I think El will be excited about tasting her first official fruit.

Some people watch tv or read a book for entertainment at night, but at our house we have a nightly feeding routine that will keep you laughing for hours. The faces and expressions that she makes with each taste are priceless. Here are a few of our fave moments so far – enjoy!

Sure did enjoy visiting and holding Elizabeth last week. What a doll baby!
Y’all are a beautiful family and such great parents. Love to all, Aunt Lu

  2. Looks like Liz is a chip off the old mommy’s block. Wide variety of taste is always good for the parents. You had a good teacher Meraz looking smarter and smarter everyday
