Frolicking in Folly

Our summer vacation differed just a bit from last year (ok, a lot) but traveling the globe will have to wait for now…

In the meantime, a week relaxing at Folly Beach outside of Charleston was the perfect getaway! Even better was all the time spent with family. Gran and Pops were there, and we were so thrilled to spend more precious moments with Aunt Kerry and Uncle Drew. Great-Aunt Sue and Great-Uncle Tom, and cousins Leslie, Rob, John and Will also drove over for a few days for a mini-reunion. It was awesome to all hang together and reminded us so much of summer trips to New Smyrna Beach when we were all younger.

So Elizabeth still isn’t a fan of the beach, but she loves the pool. We brought along a float with a sun shade and she really enjoyed hanging out in it and kicking up a storm.

While we spent most of our time in Folly, we did venture into Charleston for a day and enjoyed a historic carriage ride. JR and I also had a date night with Sissy and Drew at Husk, a wonderful restaurant with gourmet southern cuisine (although I wasn’t really a fan of the pig ear lettuce wraps – eeek!)

All in all it was a great time and we finally got some much needed relaxation. Enjoy some photo highlights from our time frolicking in Folly Beach.
