We arrived in Paris on Saturday afternoon and met up with our newest travel companion, Ryan (Ker’s boyfriend). Lizzie was especially excited to see “Ry-Ry” again!
We stayed in a cheery little hotel named after Joan of Arc in the Marais district, near the Seine and Notre Dame cathedral. JR, Lizzie and I stayed in the 6th floor apartment with great views of the area from our quaint windows.

By the time we got settled, it was close to dinner time. We headed to the Rue Cler area, but first we made a quick detour to the Eiffel Tower. Seeing this feat of architectural excellence in person takes your breath away! It’s massive and yet delicate all at the same time.
The park surrounding the Eiffel Tower was filled with couples, groups of friends, and families soaking in the sight. We found ourselves a nice grassy space, opened a bottle of wine, and toasted to our next adventure in the city of lights. Salut to Paris!
