Finally! My last and final post from our France trip. And to think that 2 1/2 months have already gone by…
Before JR, Lizzie, and I headed back to the states, the whole gang made a stop in the adorable little Normandy village of Honfleur. With it’s picturesque old port and charming old world feel, you can easily see how this setting inspired many Impressionist-era painters, including Boudin and Monet.
We, of course, started our tour of Honfleur with a ride on the carousel. Lizzie approved of this decision. 😉
The carousel ride was followed by a walk around the old port and lunch al fresco. Dining outside started out as a great idea until it started pouring! The restaurant supplied blankets to keep us warm, but when the rain didn’t stop, we eventually finished our lunch indoors. Despite the gloomy weather, we enjoyed our last meal of delicious crepes in Normandy!

After lunch, we spent some time admiring the boats and exploring the gifts shops before continuing our drive back to Paris.
