St. Augustine vacay (Part 1)

It seems like a month has passed since our family vacation last week at St. Augustine Beach.  Since then we’ve celebrated my cousin Matt’s graduation from UCF, I started back to work, and we celebrated my 36th birthday…whew!  I think I need another vacation already. 😉

Typically, our family heads out west or, if we’re lucky, to Europe for vacation – but with two kiddos, a beach vacation sounded like the right idea.  So off to St. Augustine we headed…in August!  Needless to say, Charlotte didn’t make it out of the condo much – it was just too hot.

Although it took us a few days to get into our ‘vacation groove,’ we really enjoyed exploring St. Augustine (I forgot how adorable this city is), playing with Lizzie in the pool, taking walks on the beach, and eating a lot of good seafood.  My parents were incredible, taking turns watching Charlotte and/or Lizzie so I could have some time off here and there.  It was a busy, fun-filled week and we’re all a bit exhausted (vacationing with two kids is pretty tiring), but I’m glad we could all be together to make some more special memories as a family.  Salt life!!!!!!!!

Charlotte says “Bring on vacay!”
Charlotte loved hanging in the condo – “What an awesome beach view!” she cooed.
JR, Lizzie, Ker and I explored St. Augustine one day.
Checking out the bubble machine in the oldest general store in Florida!
What a nice arsenal!  (Rick, are you jealous?)
Waiting on the historic trolley tour to start
Lizzie was pumped about riding the trolley
Off we go!
Trolley time!
Sleepy time!
Ker and I tackled these amazing shrimp and chorizo nachos at Salt Life!
Lizzie and her ladies-in-waiting!
Dinner at Creekside Dinery
Charlotte and Gigi – two southern belles!
Look quick – Charlotte’s in the water! This was the only water time she had since it was hard to fit it in between all her naps and feedings.  Oh well!
