Oh my – look who’s rolling over just in time for her 5 month milestone!  Charlotte has mastered both belly to back and back to belly now, but she really thinks laying down is for the birds.  She much rather be sitting up – even if she’s still a little wobbly.  These days she’s spending a lot of time in her activity seat, jumperoo, and highchair.  She’s also down with the Baby Bjorn, and I took her for a stroller ride today facing out and she loved it.  The overall theme is sitting up and facing out.  The world is an interesting place you know, and Charlotte is taking it all in!

She’s still very enthralled by her toes.  She manages to get them in her mouth, along with just about anything else she can put her hands on.  She’s been pre-teething for about a month now with lots of drool and chomping down, so none of us will be surprised if we see a little tooth poking through her gums any day.

Charlotte is vocalizing even more lately and her favorite sound right now is “Aaaaaaaaah!”  Sometimes she says it so loudly that she surprises herself, which is pretty funny.  She also continues to coo, blow raspberries, and giggle at her silly family.

Lizzie and Charlotte continue to amuse each other, and it’s pretty cool to see their relationship develop.  Now that Charlotte can interact more, she has no problem sharing her enthusiasm with sissy when she’s doing something she likes, and her frustration when she’s annoyed.  Lizzie is doing much better being gentle with her sis (or maybe I’m just getting better at relaxing when I have them together) and likes to hold on to her hand whenever she’s near.

Overall, Charlotte continues to be a good sleeper – with only one night waking most nights.  Last week we even had three days in a row of her sleeping straight through till morning (of course I woke up and had to pump, but it felt good knowing one of us was getting good sleep!)  We haven’t done any sleep training yet, but that may be in our future depending on how the next month goes.  We’re pretty sleep deprived around here and it would be nice to catch up eventually.
